210 Industrial Dr., Arlington Wisconsin 53911 | I've seen my share of these cracks in the plus units. I could be
wrong but this is more common on interplant planters with 15 inch
rows when turning with the planter in the ground. I fixed one planter
by installing used XP shanks from high speed planter upgrades along
with gauge wheels and arms, walking gauge assembly, and XP blades.
Everything else will bolt to the XP shank. The stud conversion is for
the Plus units to take XP style hubs. You won't need them on the XP
shank. I've also welded like you have but I think the long turn fix is
the XP shank upgrade. Lots of used XP shanks on Big Iron and Auction
Time auctions. Some will even have extra parts with them that you need. |
