nw pa | seems late in the year for a chuck to be digging holes, usually around here they are denned up for the winter by the end of november.If it is chucks and they are still out smooth the dirt around the hole and look for tracks. Should be some. if not probably something else. Have never seen a badger so can't comment on them. Maybe a healthy dose of propane and oxygen would make them take notice.
