Kentucky | Sounds like the 60 Series Detroit ........... we have one in a '90 model Volvo with 9 speed tranny and 330 hp. When we bought it in 1995, a friend who runs a local trucking company said it was there favorite engine in that size at that time. The 60 Series Detroit were the most reliable in his fleet of trucks. He raved about their performance and advised we buy the truck. 14 years later, I have not had any engine issues. One thing to remember ....... they don't like for these engines to idle too long without using the high idle.
