You can click on a users name and see their profile.

In this example I would click on your user name "Newport MI"

Your profile comes up and down at the bottom of that page is a place to "Ignore User"

At the top of the page you can click on control panel this takes you to the page with all your profile info.

On the right hand side there is a place to add or edit ignore list.

Once you click on that "add or edit ignore list " you get a page that either lets you add a particular user name or if you have a list already checked off you can uncheck them.

Edit:

If you have somebody blocked their name still appears in the thread of replies but if you open their post you see a message that says something like you have chosen to ignore this poster.  So while you still see they replied in the thread you don't actually see any of the text of what they actually posted.
