Hard to beat a 800 cycle for easy of cleaning out and does a fair job planting. No planter I’ve seen plants sh2 corn in picket fence 5k+ seeds per lb
Sweet corn is what killed red planters here. I grow it commercially and could get the IH 800 to meter properly. I’d have skips and doubles even with popcorn drums.
95% of planters here that plant sweet corn for canners use JD or Kinze planters. They are slowly moving to vac systems. |
