SESD | I just bought an MX270 with an LX780 loader on it. First tractor with an electronic joystick. The previous owner was having problems with the loader and was supposed to have it fixed before I got it. Well when we unloaded it of course it didnt work, bucket wouldnt tilt down, hoses would jerk back and forth but no movement. Couplers all looked ok so I checked solenoids and got about 4.5v at each one, pulled them all and they moved and confirmed the spool valves are not binding. Messed around with the electronics a bit and it started working but Im not sure what made it work, got the bucket put on and went in for dinner, came back out and now Ive got nothing, no boom or bucket movement, no current to the solenoids, just the light on on the joystick.
Anyone have a problem like this? I've gathered the loader is made by Quicke and I found the manual and tried to do a factory reset on the joystick but it didnt help. Leaning on needing a new control board but wondering if anyone may have other thoughts, or if its possible to change out to a newer system as this one appears obsolete.
