Subject: some more info

Dalton, OH

Sorry guys I didn't get back to my thread sooner for a few explanations, but my computer crashed and needs to be taken in for a "service".  I'm using the farm computer now, but only get to it once a day.

I'm all no-till, so there will be residue.  Also, I'm hoping to do most of the side-dressing when the corn is small, maybe 1-2 feet tall.  The reason I'm thinking about using Agrotain is that I'm concerned that my fertilizer will go up in the air if it doesn't rain for a few days, especially when its 85 degrees and humid.

The side-dressing idea with a sprayer is really trying to help me justify switching to a self-propelled sprayer from my pull-type.  Make it more dual-purpose.  I know Hagie makes a bar for their rig, but its cost prohibitive to me.  I need to do something different for side-dressing and instead of spending $20-30,000 on a coulter rig, I thought I could put that towards a downpayment on a sprayer.  Currently spraying 7,000+ acres per year.

Thanks for everything!
