Princeton, Indiana
https://www.pioneer.com/us/tools-services/growing-degree-unit.html

According to Pioneer's GDU calculator Springfield, IL has accumulated 156 GDU's as of today and is expected to get 4.5 GDU's per day over the next 14 days. It takes 100-110 GDU's from planting to emergence so corn planted today will lay in ground until about April 26-28th before it spikes. Just for fun, hand plant a few in the garden and see when it comes up.
