I had a similar problem this spring when I picked up proso millet seed in bulk. We loaded out of two bins to get my full order. Before I even got home, I got a call from the seedsman admitting that the last 100 bu they loaded was a different variety. I was given the option of returning the seed for replacement, or a 10% discount. Since the varieties were fairly similar, I kept the seed. However, their admission of a problem that I most probably would never had caught helped cement our relationship and I will happily continue to do business with them. | |
