northcentral iowa | The running gear is made by a welding shop in eastern IA (4 wheel steer). He also sold the design to Yetter and they make a similar model, as well. Turns real nice on the ends. With regard to the H bar, I don't think that the design will be for all producers. It is a completely different concept than the conventional knife and you need some patience to make it work. If JD can make some improvements on the original design, there is tremendous potential, especially for sidedress. Other brands have or are working on a similar design and may be even better but it will never be for all producers, IMO. We could run up to 7.5 mph in the corn pictured but when it started to push you could cover some corn. Had to keep the garden rake handy. Even suggested to the dealer that they provide a coupon for a free garden rake with a purchase of the bar. | |
