Central NE | Yes, there is GLS on the lower leaves. I have decided not to spray. The dryland variety from Red Cloud is 113 day Triumph 1109 triple stack, and so is the corn planted on alfalfa. The corn in the middle is 105 day NK libertly link corn. The season is at least two weeks later in the hills north of Lexington compared to Red Cloud. Some farmers who farm around Holdredge-Bertrand and near me have said they see 10 days later in just that 30 miles. Also last year's corn wasn't harvested until the day before thanksgiving, and a week later we had sub-ZERO weather for 2 weeks and the ground froze hard, and took forever to thaw out this spring. | |
