I appreciate the info. Apologies for the novice questions here but I have located a Freewave radio with serial input that outputs up to 1W. I believe this should work to reach the 2 miles that I initially need and I can add an amplifier or maybe a repeater to reach up to 5 miles in the future. If I use this transmitter at my base, which Freewave receiver would you use in your tractor?
