It works good but not without problems. The inner tube can sometimes come out of the outer one and then spit the seeds out on the ground. The tubes rub against each other as they telescope, which causes them to wear and have to be replaced over time. The outer tube is a clear plastic which tends to wear out and start cracking around the top faster than i would like. Also in cold weather the clear tube tends to break, which obviously isnt a problem for planting beans. The maintanence on them to keep them in good working order is a lot higher than it would be for just a corrugated tube, but in my opinion the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.
