After drilling beans with a JD 1560 drill for ten years, I finally decided it was time to buy a 15" planter. I feel I can reduce population and still get a better stand. Thus saving money and reducing replants. I also have trouble getting the drill to penatrate good in heavy wheat stubble, even when the straw is dry, so I hope to improve on that.
The fact that I will be covering 30ft. instead of 15ft. doesn't hurt either.
