perryton, tx | What you are describing sounds exactly the way my Crustbuster 4745 drill is set up having a small tube that telescopes up and down inside a larger tube. I definitely prefer to plant with a drill, mainly because a field can be planted in half the time it takes with a planter. But in no till situations i think planter works better, and i can put down phos, zinc, or iron chelate with the seed, which i cant do with my drill. But all those fill ups and mixing inoculant by hand that the planter requires? Definitely a negative in my view. | |
