It's a 9' ceiling and all the ceiling joists are spaced exactly 24".  I ran 2x4's across them at intervals and screwed them down to make certain they were 24" on center.

I have access to a lift so maybe I will end up doing it myself.  I've done this much and more.  Just know that it's going to take me longer than having several people come in and do it.

I have a lot of material in the way as well as many tools and cabinets.  I'll have to move all of that out of the way.  I've been doing that since I started this project.

It was just a thought that my wife brought up.
