North of London | 6 feet might not be enough, most of the world stays 2 metres away. (grin)
The science behind it is the virus is spread in small water droplets that are expelled when a sick person coughs or sneezes.
The virus travels in relatively larger droplets and so they are heavy enough to fall to the ground within the 2 metre or the slightly shorter distance of 6 feet.
As in everything I expect there are always some situations where that would not be enough like being down wind if outside on a windy day but for most situations that is considered a safe distance. | |
