No you cant be a liar to the IRS.You need to follow tax laws to benefit you as the majority of the taxes you pay to the government fail to benefit the payer.That being said the tax laws are written to encourage economic activity.Use the value to pay to set up an s-corp/llc etc.Buy here a 55.95 zircronium fake one.Write her a check for 2,500. with the expressed love of having her use those funds to pay a lawyer that assures her assets are protected in business,she pays the lawyer for you and her business and she can write it off,but she will have to tell her friends that huge diamond is real.Its real as its really there.She will need to claim the 2500 as income not you as it was written before said business agreement.She may actually hate you for that.You will need to file a 1099 on her receiving the 2500 but you get tax write off
