The attitude on here seems to have changed lately with more folks making smart remarks and running others down if you hold a different view or try and bring up a different viewpoint or educate about something. I miss the more helpful style of the earlier days where there was more emphasis on helping with whatever problem or issue was presented without immediately suggesting someone upgrade to something different instead.
I feel exactly the same way. I also took a several month break last fall for the same reasons. The meanness has really gotten out of hand. Every thread almost will have some uncalled for nasty response in it. No matter how simple the topic.
Glad you are back. Maybe with more positive users the online "culture" can improve.
