| We have MaxEmerge units on our 1770 CCS and at the start of a new field we will unplug the fan motor (CCS tanks contain Triple Stack) and fill the 1.6bu boxes w/20% of fields refuge. Plant the refuge out and then plug the CCS fan back in to continue on with Traited variety. In our situation it works b/c we have MaxEmerge units (1.6bu w/insecticide), if you have a 1790 or 1770w/ProUnits it wouldn't work (not enough capacity in row units for 20% requirement).
We would really like to add the Refuge Plus option (3rd tank) to our planter to increase efficiency. Does anyone know if this can be done or is it a factory install only? | |
