South Western Ontario, Canada | What are you looking to do with it? Been spending enough time in them lately. Haven't been in a 1000 yet but some time in 900 and lots in 800. I believe in heavy tillage a powershift is still king of the mountain. For everything else they are the cats meow! Only down side in some models are they only have ONE brake pedal....not the independent sides we are used to. Cabs aren't as big as north American models.

| What do you consider a pretty good deal? Email is good if you don’t want to post publicly The 1000 series has been pretty good from what I hear. Avoid the tier4 900 with the deutz. It really comes down to dealer and parts support. In my experience they don’t do a very good job of supporting 10+year old stuff. | |||

Texas | For the most part I’ve been impressed with the larger models. I’m not sure what happened at an East TX dealer. That was my closest dealer and now as of this year there are no more Fendt tractors on their lot. Edit: Looks like the closest now is in Oklahoma. Edited by Pigpiggy 2/14/2020 12:58

Summit County, Ohio | im not on the up and up with Fendt, but my local dealer here in Wooster ohio has a boat load of them running around. this area is very dairy heavy and they seem to be very popular. I run an Agco which is very similar, and I love It. I just bought a MF 8670 this week because our dealer's are great here.

Have been picking up some bottled glass milk from Greenfield farms, just out side of Fredericksburg, OH. I run 76 from here to 224 toward Barberton, then 21S toward Massilion. Then take 585 toward Wooster, than 83S to 250E. Than Fredericksburg road to the Creamery. Ive been doing this run once per week lately. Am I near you by chance??

T4Fs have a lot going on in the engine/emissions department.

Wi | jcfarmboy - 2/14/2020 11:47 Only down side in some models are they only have ONE brake pedal....not the independent sides we are used to. Cabs aren't as big as north American models. Steering brakes are optional on all models. Single pedal can be dual circuit or single circuit on the older 900s. A lot choose the single pedal dual circuit because having nice front brakes is more useful than a steering brake in a lot of the applications Fendts are used for.

Dalton, OH | I’m not Merestead Farms but You go right past one of my wrapped square bale stacks on the right just before Moreland Road north of Fredericksburg. That’s down in the $30,000/ac land area thanks to all the Amish! Crazy. Edited by Scott (OSU) 2/14/2020 21:09

Dalton, OH | I have 4 Fendt tractors and lover them. Still run some Deere’s but the Fendt tractors are by far superior, especially with AgPro buying all our Deere dealers and ruining them!

Southern Pa. | I make this run overnight, so it's dark when I come through. But I'll be looking for the wrapped bales!! This milk gets delivered to a Distribution out fit that has a warehouse in Frederick, Md. From there it goes to stores throughout the Baltimore and DC area. Some of the milk also gets transferred to their main headquarters in Bayonne, NJ. From this warehouse the milk gets distributed throughout the NY city area, and farther North into the New England states. I bet those Amish boys didn't dream their milk would go all over the big cities in the Northern East coast when they started that Creamery!!! They do have a good product!! The loads keep getting bigger! Last week I was overweight, might have to start coming more often! (Edited to add) Scott, do you live near Dalton?? Some years ago I used to deliver (small square bale) hay wagons to a place outside of Orville. This fellow sold all kinds of wagons. He was also an auctioneer. Pete Stauffer (or Stouffer??) was his name. Maybe you know him?? Small world some days!! Edited by JD 9400 2/14/2020 21:47

Northwest iowa | So what model year did they transition from T4i to T4Final?

ecmn | you have to remember when pricing a fendt you have to have the competition price in there service program and customer service programs to be more apples to apples. agco cvt has no problem doing tillage and is more efficient gpa/gph machine then the competition. some of the competition doesn't have a cvt over 380 hp and agco has it right up to 500 hp. hard to price compare a 1000 series since case and deere don't make a competitor for it. I get all giggly when sales says we are taking a 1038-1050 out on demo because its going to be a fun experience. I love watching red and green guys face when they learn of the customer support program and then experience the machine! the machines sell themselves! 700 and 1000 series fendt based challengers. I heard local dealer has about 100 of them out there with a 98% up time rate. that is a very impressive number. Fendt is making a move in NA and its pretty clear by styling of red and green that they are seeing it. current dealer setup of red and green is not ready to compete to this, they are reducing stores and making territories and there customers are finding out that customer support and some parts are going to lack. a mom and pop salesman can do support for there customers, a territory salesman cant. to many machines he would never be able to sell, Fendt dealers are already setup with a customer support person for there sales people. Fendt is a premium tractor with some premium features. like a chevy vs Mercedes they both can drive you around. one is going to have a superior customer service side of things like free loaners, built in service contract, some guaranties of parts on hand, big thing is quality of equipment so you don't have to rely on the service side so much. customer support people that the farmer doesn't have to pay a shop rate for if they have for example a terminal settings question, or hooking up and setting up an ISO implement. even if its years after purchase.

Wi | IAhaymakr - 2/15/2020 07:58 So what model year did they transition from T4i to T4Final? 2014, the hoods got a face-lift. Easy to distinguish them.

Very true...the only time I needed/wanted steering brakes is when I have this planter behind. When all three tanks are loaded it wasn't as bad but getting low it was a royal pain mounted planter twin row with lift assist. All other jobs the single pedal is completely fine. SE ND | I looked at the 1000 series and 900 series both. They were very impressive IMO. Our local dealership has a ton of them out there and according to the dealer they've been great tractors. I'm looking at a lease. I'd say find a product specialist at your dealer and give them a chance.

Sulphur Springs, TX | The dealer is completely out of Ag. Livingston Machinery is now the Fendt dealer for much of Texas and Oklahoma.

Northwest iowa | I hate dumb questions, but have to ask this one. What is different about the hood on a ‘14 versus an older model. I have a ‘13 and honestly they look the same to me.

Taller to fit the extra stuff, tweaked styling. Color changed late 2016. Dalton, OH | Yes, I live near Dalton. About 1/2 mile south of Rt 30. Farm along Rt 30 quite a bit. I know old Pete. Good guy and great prices on new wagons as he doesn’t have any overhead! I didn’t t realize until I was talking with Greenfield guys the other day that they took over for they dairy that went bankrupt over on the east coast and stick a bunch of people.
