NCMO | Just be careful and try to verify that the aftermarket filters actually cross and have same specs. Several years ago I used an aftermarket oil filter and after running short time pressure seemed off. Back then you could talk to a company service rep. He asked me what filter and then told me to remove it and use OEM, which I did and problem solved. A neighbor used aftermarket air filter and then an oil analysis showed dirt. He found that the cheaper filter didn't fit correctly in housing and sucking dirt around end of filter. Engines and transmissions pretty expensive compared saving a few dollars on filters. | |
