Subject: RE: Farmers fight John Deere

If my experiences with techs wasn’t so good I would seriously look into something like that too but so far they have been very good.

I can’t do any diagnostics on my JD tractors either. Actually I can’t on my semi or my Agco equipment either. All I can do is pull codes that generally give me a rough idea what it could be.

The reason I posted was to correct the idea about Deere not letting people see the error codes. As far as I know all the manufacturers, including Deere, allow a person to see codes without hooking up a computer. Also, as far as I know, no company has a built in diagnostic computer that allows high level diagnostics and or flashing modules. When it comes to Deere anyways, the only reprogramming I can do is transmission recalibration and I think, but I could be wrong as I’ve never had to do it, the hydraulic SCV’s.
