Extreme SW Minnesota Iowa border
When they lock you out what are you going to do? You will be a parts changer. And then you won't be able to do that. You really need to educate yourself on what is going on. Most ag states have to have a special set of laws to protect dealerships from what some of these big companies can do to them. They are trying to get as close to monopoly as they can. And then when every wants to buy something else, the "poor tractor manufactuers" will ask for a bailout. I guess I still remember when Harley Davidson had to have a huge import tarriff put on all the Japanese bikes, because they couldn't make it. If Deere gets enough competition, they will try to do the same. The whole right to repair is about giving them some competition .
The whole reason they are making this stuff so complicated is to KEEP people from fixing there own stuff. Emissions is a clever excuse. If emissions meant a damn thing, the government would be doing things a lot different. Do you have any ideal who the biggest diesel fuel user in North America? Let me give you a hint. They are still running old two stroke Detroits. And DO NOT HAVE to change.
