On ours the tach reads 1000 rpm high. We had to replace an injector and when tech was calibrating he checked low and high idle and it runs about 2250 wide open. I get more rpm with the hand throttle than the foot throttle, it could just need a cable adjustment. Top speed is 23 to 24. 38 inch rubber. It seems like a slug after you have been running the 4710 around at 30 mph.

The tach reads about 600 rpm high most of the time on our MF5460, must be a common issue...tech said whole dash needs replaced to fix it? Dash speedometer reads about 25 MPH top speed, check with gps it's pretty close.
Also have a MF4709 and it moves along nice, and agree about the 5460 feeling like a slug after running the new one for a few days ...
