| I don't think that is the issue, just about every independent auto repair shop can do 90% of diagnostics and repair on current cars and pickups. The remainder proprietary items are handled by dealers. Why can't this be done in ag? This silly notion that "farmers are going to rewrite software" is just off the mark. Not even the highest trained techs rewrite software, strictly diagnostic. Basic diagnostic testing tools is all most are asking for. Some Deere dealers have even been discussing coming part sales restrictions that only dealers can install. Apparently part of George Orwell's master plan. We will take your money and you will do as you are told! The idea that you can go to your dealer and purchase these scan tools is not accurate, a number of area farmers have asked for it and been denied. | |
