NW Iowa | Sometimes it's not that easy. Agco's EDT tool's software subscription is only good for one year. If you don't renew its gone. I can get the EDT tool out of Europe for $4000 but the bootleg software is $800 per year. That's if you can keep getting it.
The nice thing about Agco is you can get the service manual and do 90% of the trouble shooting with that and a multi-meter. Especially if your dealer is nice and lets you get some in line test harnesses.
What gets you is if you need to reflash for a gremlin, allocate valves, do an update, check CAN lines, change codes for different applications.. That requires the tool and software.
