southern farmer, we too had the first one fail on a 2510 gas and they replaced it and never had anymore trouble. Never could figure out what happened, but only heard that if you leave key on without running, will do a number on it. Maybe coil was not the correct coil, we changed that also, no answer what causes it to fail, but sure runs good now for a gas.
