Could be a number of things, coil or electronic ignition gets hot and miss fires until it gets hot, valve might have some carbon on valve stem and sticks when hot. I'd put some Seafoam in the gas tank to address the possible valve sticking and carry a spark tester with me so when it acts up you can immediately check the spark.
