As Fingers said check to see if the bracket is in place and snug between the block and the pump/compressor. A lot of rogators have broken timing gear housings. We converted several 854s to electric boom valves and eliminated the air compressor. On 1 with cracked housing that we pulled the compressor off, we cleaned diligently, covered the crack with RTV, braced the back of the pump and ran it for 4 or 5yrs before trading. was dry when it left here. Some times you get lucky. Dirt
