The gasket can leak where the front cover mounts to the engine block. It can also crack if the dowel pin comes out. Search for cummins kdp fix. This is no fun if that is the case but usually leaks on the front more than the back so I would think it is not that. I had an oil leak on my 854 that I could not figure out. Finally it got bad enough and it was the braided oil line feeding the injection pump. It was nearly impossible to see it leaking. Looking at the line you could not tell. Try cleaning it all really well and removing the fan belt so no air is moving around that area and run it for a few minutes and look for a leak. That line is hard to see and I hope that it is your problem as it’s an easy fix. Good luck.
