SW OH | We used to build them with 3 sheets of 1/2" CDX and a few 2x4s. They were 6 feet long, 4 feet high in the front, 3 1/2 in the back, 4 feet wide, with any open front that had corner braces at the top. Calves wore a dog collar with a 6 foot chain hooked to a ring in the ceiling a foot in. Calves stayed in there till about 2-3 months old. They lasted 8-10 years unpainted.
