9230 will pull slightly more than an 8400, but not much. Our 8400 dyno at 270 pto factory and the 9230 are supposed to be 325 engine. It's a hard comparison to make because we rarely have the same tools on the 2 tractors to compare. Closest thing I can say is we put a 13 knife nh3 bar with mole knives and notched closers on the 8400 with 2000gal tank and it handles it okay. 6 mph maybe 7mph on flat ground. We put a 12 shank Yetter magnum bar on the 9230 with the same nh3 tank plus 400 gallons of 10-34-0 and the hills will gut it but its not too bad on flat ground maybe 7 or 8 mph. Not a great comparison. One thing that will piss you off about the 9230 is ours seems to be sensitive to being at idle and throwing it in gear with a slight load on it. It will put you in park if it lugs too hard.
