Subject: Trying to visualize what 5 gallon per acre, in liquid, looks like

Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80

Note: A video of 360 yield, mentioned that at 5 gallon per acre was only a like a drop per inch.

I'm trying to do the math so I can use a tablespoon ( .5 fluid ounce of water) and get a image of that small amount per 38" row width length. {38" row = 13' 9" = 1000th of an acre}

A: 5 GPA  x 128 oz. per gallon = 640 oz.

B: 13 feet 9 inches = 165 " (= one thousandths of an acre, in length, for 38" row width)

C: Divide 640 oz. by 1000 = .640 oz in 165" of travel

D: .640 oz. divide by .5 oz (one tablespoon fluid volume) = 1.28 tablespoons

Conclusion is that you are trying to dribble on 1.28 tablespoons, of liquid, in 165" of travel

Is this correct? (or did I screw up somewhere)

Thanks
