I think it would work fine for piling brush. The brush will fall out of the bucket as you lift, you won't have to dump the dirt on top of the pile.
Worthless to use it like a dozer root rake, I'd guess. Anything that you could work with a backhoe loader, you could work cheaper with an old tractor and chisel plow.
