I agree with you on running a NH head. They are not nearly as sensitive to staying straight on the row like a Deere (pull type) head with sickle cutoff. They will cut decent across rows, like you mentioned.

Regular 30 in rows wirh a 3 row NH would be a nice combo for smaller diaries.

Where are you in Southern Va??

I haul bottled milk out of Burnt Chimney, Va three nights a week. Homestead Creamery.
