Central Illinois | Does anyone read all of the fine print when they purchase equipment or begin using my John Deere? They use your yield data to create pricing trends on harvest and planting equipment. They also use your tillage data for engineering to establish what tillage equipment is being used in regions for production and pricing. You and I probably don’t get that when we read the data use agreements, but i am certain it is twisted in those words. They don’t confirm with you before they use the data each time! Field view has been more than transparent that if you want to share your data with tillable, my John Deere or any other grower or land lord you must follow the link and confirm one additional time. They also send you an email letting you know that you have selected this option so you can stop it if you change your mind. If you decide you are going to use any data management including your iPhone and Android, someone is using your data/use to generate marketing tactics! Sorry it’s 2020 but we just need to get used to it or live off the grid!!! | |
