ecmn
you have to remember when pricing a fendt you have to have the competition price in there service program and customer service programs to be more apples to apples.

agco cvt has no problem doing tillage and is more efficient gpa/gph machine then the competition. some of the competition doesn't have a cvt over 380 hp and agco has it right up to 500 hp.

hard to price compare a 1000 series since case and deere don't make a competitor for it. I get all giggly when sales says we are taking a 1038-1050 out on demo because its going to be a fun experience. I love watching red and green guys face when they learn of the customer support program and then experience the machine! the machines sell themselves!

700 and 1000 series fendt based challengers. I heard local dealer has about 100 of them out there with a 98% up time rate. that is a very impressive number.

Fendt is making a move in NA and its pretty clear by styling of red and green that they are seeing it. current dealer setup of red and green is not ready to compete to this, they are reducing stores and making territories and there customers are finding out that customer support and some parts are going to lack. a mom and pop salesman can do support for there customers, a territory salesman cant. to many machines he would never be able to sell, Fendt dealers are already setup with a customer support person for there sales people.

Fendt is a premium tractor with some premium features. like a chevy vs Mercedes they both can drive you around. one is going to have a superior customer service side of things like free loaners, built in service contract, some guaranties of parts on hand, big thing is quality of equipment so you don't have to rely on the service side so much. customer support people that the farmer doesn't have to pay a shop rate for if they have for example a terminal settings question, or hooking up and setting up an ISO implement. even if its years after purchase.
