Subject: Re: Corn Maturity

Coldwater, Michigan
Here in Southern Michigan we still have corn that hasn't pollinated. Also, have some dead because it is too dry. At least it pollinated well and has been filling for a few weeks. The best corn in the area hit pollination 2-3 weeks ago. Last year I was into a plot in this area the last week in July, and it was dead because of dry weather. Still yielded 130 BPA. Compare that maturity with what we have this year. We are at least 3 weeks behind normal with our earliest corn this year.
