Galahad, Alberta | I wouldn't. It's a big no-no to spray glyphosate on fields that you want to keep for seed, right? So how could it be alright to spray glyphosate on your malt without lowering the germ? That label sounds fishy. I've got 2 fields of malt that I would like to spray as well, but I'm not going to because of the risk of lowing the germ. May have to drag out the swather. I have, in the past, sprayed wheat that was basically dead ripe, just to kill thistles and quack grass. The wheat seed still had good germ (high 90's), but I feel that it was because the application was late. I wouldn't want to spray greener cereals that were intended to be my next years' seed, and find out the germ was down to 60.
