USA | I am kind of surprised by the pre pay chemical sales so for. Not near the switch to corn that many are thinking in this part of the country. It appears to me that a lot farmers are betting on a big bean rally with all the talk of increased corn acres and have decided not to stray too far from last years rotation. It will take a lot higher corn prices than what is being offered to change these folks mind.
Even if 10 million more acres of corn got planted, a 150 yield would produce a crop of 12.3 billion bu. I doubt if corn would get much below $3 with the demand that is projected. We had better have a good growing season or things are going to get real intersting. | |
