northcentral iowa | The AgVenture company is built around a business model where small local companies or indiviuals can purchase a franchise type of arrangement with the mother ship (AgVenture) to access genetics and other benefits of scale while still maintaining ownership at the local level. It can work for some areas and personalities but it is a tough hill to climb with the "big sharks" that swim in the seed industry. If you like the rep and don't get too hung up on getting the cheapest price, there is nothing wrong with their products. They buy genetics from the two or three sources just like everyone else so don't think that anything is unique. | |
