Northern Ohio | Gary is really a master at setting up and using a row cultivator. I truly respect what he can do with some old iron. But...he also makes it very complicated. His system requires a very skilled and talented operator. It is also very stressful to cultivate long days in this manner. Some grooves with the planter, single rib tires, and V tires would really simplify his system for the rest of us.
The way he gets dirt to roll up into bean rows is fantastic, I’d like to find a way to do that with corn...at 6mph minimum.
