when you have a chance, I hope you will expand on this post (on or off list).
We run the flat shields like Gary and find them to work well most of the time.
The main problem for us is that they sometimes plug with residue.
The mounting bracket for our shields should allow the shield to rise and release accumulating residue but we need to replace about half of the bushings. Hopefully we will get that done before its time to start cultivating :)
