If you have certain extensions they may block a site or if you lack some they may not display a site.

Download Chrome and try it.  It can be found at  http://www.google.com/chrome

It is quite fast and may fully meet your needs.

I use Firefox and a number of extensions but on occasion I use Chrome because it loads fast.
