If you could get by with a 9370R, I would recommend that over the 9420R. Reason being is fuel consumption alone. That 13.5l will consume roughly 30% more fuel doing the same job.
If you are going to be lacking in power on the 9370R whether it be stock or tuned, go with the 9420R. Nothing sucks worse than lacking power when needed when you had the chance to buy the bigger machine.
If you decide on the 9370R, my max recommendation is +50HP. So you would be able to match the power of the 9420R.
No! Get the 9420. There is no replacement for displacement. Have a 9230 and should have went with the 9330. Fuel consumption will NOT be 30% higher when you can idle back and do the same work. Tuning a 9 liter doesn't make it compete with a 13.5.
