Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I'd advise investigating the relay also. The proximity switch in the chamber trips this. When shutting down the display you get the option of cleaning out the elevator. If you have someone in the cab and they shutdown the display and answer Yes to the cleanout question you should be able to hear the relay click and the motor start. Since you can get the motor to run by plugging it in directly, the motor and its connections must be good.
I made an electrical tee to go in between the motor and its harness. This tee has a wire that leads into the combine cab. This wire is connected to an indicator light or LED. That way I can observe the motor starting/stopping if I have any doubts. I have found that in decent corn, the motor will be running pretty much constantly. In soybeans where the flow is less, it will start/stop quite often. |
