I think you will end up spending a lot of time and money to keep a power tillage tool repaired. The hard clods will give chain drives, gear boxes and drive shafts a real beaiing.
I think your best, quickest and lowest cost option will be 2 or 3 trips over the field with a disk that has 7 - 9" blade spacing.
Disk it once or twice then hit it with a landplane. Roll those clods and they'll bust up pretty. I'm sure there's a landplane somewhere down there you can find and try. |
