North Central Kansas
7140 is a legacy. 7240 is a flagship series. Totally different machines. Both class 7 combines.

7140 is an updated version of a 2388-2588-7088-7130. More power and heavier components. It utilizes a belt drive for the rotor. Some say this is a simpler design.

7240 is essentially the same as an 8240 except for less hp. 7240 will have the 8.7l Iveco. 8240 has 12.9L. CVT rotor drive that you can reverse. Self leveling shoe.

I don’t own either one. I have ran a 8230. They are a beast.
