How do large dairies seed down need alfalfa? Do they drag 12' drills around or broadcast with nurse crop/potash and work it in.

Have about 270 ac to seed this spring and the 12' drill route doesn't seem like a lot of fun.

We just bought a new 12 ft Brillion. Beautiful stands, not too much invested, will last 30 years or more. Yes, you have to sit in the seat to get it done, but I use a auto steer tractor and catch up on emails and paperwork while you roll along.
